Rabbi Marcus comes to Buffalo from Toronto, where he has been a fellow in Kollel Toronto, the Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies, under the tutelage of Rabbi Shlomo Miller, since 2009. Rabbi Marcus comes from a very long line of distinguished rabbanim, dating back to Rav Chaim Volozhiner. His father, Rabbi Raphael Marcus z"l, was rav of the B'nai Torah congregation in Toronto for around 26 years. Rabbi Eliezer Marcus currently serves as the rav in the Young Israel of Greater Buffalo, where he lives with his wife, Bayla, and five children.

After graduating from the prestigious Lakewood Yeshiva in 2003, Rabbi Taub took over the helm at the BVK, where he oversaw exciting new growth and energy in the BVK.

 

Prior to having served in his current position as the rav of Young Israel of Holliswood, he was the rav in Young Israel of Greater Buffalo, where he lived for around twelve years.

 

A noted writer and speaker, since 2010 he has been featured as a weekly columnist, in the international magazine, Ami, the largest and most read magazine of its kind, read weekly by over 150,000 people around the world.

 

Since 2012 he has also served as Ami’s Rabbinic Editor.

 

Rabbi Taub was awarded the 2005 Rabbi of the Year (NCYI).

One of Buffalo’s most beloved attorneys, Marc now serves as a partner in the Buffalo office of Goldberg and Segalla.

 

Named as one of Buffalo’s 40 under 40 (Business First) his experience includes litigation in almost every facet of law.

 

Marc is actively involved in a number of civic organizations. He is currently co-president and a board of trustees member at the Kadimah School of Buffalo, and a committeeman for the Town of Amherst Republican Committee.

 

 

DR. MICHAEL CHASKES

Dr. Chaskes is a full-time faculty member in UB‘s School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (Vice-Chair Department of Medicine, University at Buffalo) and Medical Director of Outpatient Cardiology. He is one of western New York's most reknowned doctors and sees patients in the UBMD cardiology practice.
